Are Adjustments Addictive?

We get it. Everybody says you have to go to chiropractors once you start going to them, but we’re not talking about addiction here. We’re talking about how chiropractic adjustments work and why you should consider treating your body better with care at the office of Dr. Varano. Our goal is for all of our patients to be healthy and feel great, especially during their visits with us!

Have you ever had aches and pains? If so, there’s a good chance that they started because of poor posture, repetitive movements, stress or life changes. If your body is not functioning like it should, your nerves may be confused or irritated which can lead to pain and discomfort. Chiropractic care focuses on correcting this problem by keeping your spine in proper alignment and then strengthening your muscles as well as restoring function to your nervous system. Through improving the health of your spine, chiropractic care helps improve the overall health of your body.

The choice to get adjusted is always up to you, but chiropractic care does help improve your quality of life. Many people experience fantastic results from chiropractic care, including less pain and better movement throughout the day.

Have you ever been stressed or having a bad day? This might have affected your posture and caused pressure in your back, especially if your desk was not adjusted correctly. Chiropractic Health is a form of primary health care based on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of vertebral subluxations. Chiropractors address subluxations through manual adjustments to the spine. In addition to these manual treatments, Chiropractors will also provide you with exercises, stretches, dietary recommendations and advice for better spinal correction. Our goal is to ensure that you are able to enjoy life to its fullest!

Are you wondering “I hear that once you start going to a chiropractor, you always have to go!” Here’s my favorite answer: “I hear that once you start eating right, you always have to eat right.” Or, “I hear that once you start working out, you always have to work out.”

Getting adjusted by a chiropractor is not addictive or dangerous. In fact, getting adjusted can actually improve how your nervous system functions. Your nervous system controls everything in your body and allows you to feel like yourself again!
